When a person suffers from a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), their loved ones are\u00a0catapulted into the caregiver role to support and look after their injured family member.\u00a0Relationships, responsibilities, and roles shift suddenly, which can be confusing and\u00a0overwhelming for the non-injured caregiver.<\/p>\n

\n

Chuck Jung Associates and Fraser Valley Brain Injury Association will be launching a Virtual Caregivers Support Group in March of 2022. From March to August of 2022, the group will meet monthly for 90-minutes to engage in discussions to provide important information and teach skills that will help caregivers negotiate and manage a new role in\u00a0their life. These groups are free of charge.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

WHO?<\/strong> Facilitated by Dr. Laura Klubben, R. Psych. and Xiaolei Deng, UBC Doctoral Candidate and Practicum Student<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u2022 A-B-C for Caregivers<\/p>\n

\u2022 Emotional Changes in your loved one and its impact on you.<\/p>\n

\u2022 How to help your children with change.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Solving Stress when you give, give, give<\/p>\n

\u2022 Developing boundaries, self-compassion, and private time.<\/p>\n
